Besides Summer, Fall is the second best time of the year here in Rhode Island. And the beauty of being a student at Johnson & Wales is that every weekend is a long weekend. Here are some great fall activities to check out on your long weekends including this weekend:

On Campus

 UIB: Thick as Thieves Concert

October 14 – 7:30PM Pepsi Forum

The University Involvement Board plans a wide array of events on campus. Tonight is their first concert of the year. The headliner is a band is Thick as Thieves from the LA area. Opening for them is a local rapper Jeu Greene. Doors open at 7:30PM. Free admission fee.

Off Campus

Apple/Pumpkin Picking
Nothing says fall like walking through orchards sipping hot apple cider and picking your own fruit! Click on the link to see a guide to the best farms to pick your own apples in the area.

Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular

The First Annual Rhode Island Seafood Festival will take place on October 15th, from 11am – 6pm at India Point Park in Providence, RI on account of rain.  Guests can taste the finest seafood Rhode Island and southern New England have to offer, enjoy a variety of beer and wine from local distributors,  and dance to free live music from local bands performing on the pier stage.  Admission remains free for all attendees.

Providence Ghost Tours

Be  lead by lantern light through the darkened streets of the historic East Side, sharing with you stories that will be sure to send a chill down your spine!
